Salesforce renewal: the last day to say no
Under Salesforce's standard agreement, your subscription renews for a further year unless you give written notice at least 30 days before the end of the term.
What Salesforce says
“subscriptions will automatically renew for additional one year terms, unless either party gives the other written notice (email acceptable) at least 30 days before the end of the relevant subscription term.”

Your order form or negotiated agreement can say something different. Check your own contract. Most Salesforce customers sign an order form, and that can change the notice period or the renewal terms.
Work out your last day
Pick your date and the last day to give notice appears here.
How to give notice
- Open your order form and find the subscription end date.
- Count back at least 30 days and add a few days of safety. Picture a term ending on 31 December: 30 days before is 1 December, so aim for the middle of November.
- Send written notice. The agreement says email is acceptable, but use the notice address in your own paperwork.
- Keep a copy and ask for a reply that confirms receipt.
