Microsoft 365 renewal: the last day to say no
If you bought direct from Microsoft, you only get a refund by cancelling within seven days of the start or renewal; after that you can switch off recurring billing and keep the service until the term ends.

- Find your renewal date in the billing area of your Microsoft 365 admin account.
- Switch off recurring billing before that date. Microsoft's cancel page, linked above, has the current steps.
- Take a screenshot of the setting once it is off and note the date.
- Missed it? The seven-day refund window after renewal is your last easy exit.

Can I get my money back after seven days?
On a direct account, Microsoft's page says the refund window is seven days. After that you can stop it renewing but not recoup the term.
I pay monthly on an annual plan. Can I stop paying?
Microsoft says you are charged each month for the rest of the term.
Does the July price rise apply to me?
Microsoft says existing customers pay the new price "at their next renewal after July 1, 2026". Business Basic went from $6 to $7 and Business Standard from $12.50 to $14 per user per month (US list prices; yours depend on your country and reseller). Business Premium did not change. Check your own invoice.
