Slack renewal: the last day to say no
Slack's terms of service adopt the Salesforce Main Services Agreement, under which a subscription renews for a further year unless written notice is given at least 30 days before the end of the term, and fees already paid are not refunded.

Your order form or negotiated agreement can say something different. Check your own contract. Pro and Business+ plans bought on slack.com can also be downgraded from the Billing page, timed for the next renewal date. The 30 days is the contract rule, and an Enterprise order form can change it.

How to give notice
- Find your renewal date: click Admin in the sidebar, then Manage billing, then the Overview tab.
- Count back at least 30 days and add a margin.
- A Workspace Owner, or the member who upgraded the workspace, chooses Change plan details, then Downgrade to Free, and sets it to take effect on the next renewal date.
- If you signed an order form, also send written notice by email to the address in it, and keep the reply.
Questions people ask
If I cancel halfway through the year, do I get money back?
No cash. The agreement says fees paid are non-refundable. Slack's help page says it credits the unused portion as Slack credits, which are non-refundable and expire when the paid plan ends.
Can the price change at renewal?
Yes. The agreement says promotional or one-time pricing renews at the list price in effect at renewal, and a renewal with fewer seats or a shorter term is re-priced without regard to the previous per-unit price.
Who can cancel?
Slack's help page says Workspace Owners and members who upgraded the workspace can change the plan.
